Day two started out with a whale watching cruise. This got me a little closer to those mountains I wanted to take pictures of on day one but was a little too far away from. The tour started at 9am so the sun was still rising so it wasn't the best light to start off, but that didn't stop me from taking pictures.

I liked the lone building in front of the mountains. It is funny to think if you turn 180 degrees you see Reykjavik.
Reykjavik is not a big city by any stretch of the imagination but it does hold over 60% of Iceland's entire population.
I liked this photo because it is a little disorienting. It looks like the land is floating in sky. I wanted to leave a lot of the water in the shot and less of the sky like typical shots. Once I saw the photo on my monitor I liked how it looked a little off.
I was able to capture some nice sunrise colors through the clouds.
I really like the colors in this shot, it sums up the feeling of Iceland.
This ship at the base of the mountain really caught my attention. I have even more I didn't post. I think i should have chosen one of them. I really tried to sort through my images and not post too many...
After being out in the cold for long enough I went inside to warm up.
The sun came out on the way back to the pier and painted some nice light across the mountains, so out again I went.
We are both taking pictures of the same thing.
We saw at least 3 rainbows while we were in Iceland.
I really liked these bright splashes of color around Reykjavik. These little mini-lighthouse set off against the natural colors of the mountains and glaciers. This building behind is a new concert hall and cultural center. It stood out especially when the sun it it. A number of years ago at a festival they turned the side of it into a giant Pong Game, sadly it wasn't open for game play.
I didn't get any photos of any whales but we did see a Minke Whale and a couple dolphins on our tour.
I wanted to get the reflections of the mountain and the two people sitting in the window but I also didn't want to take too much time pointing my camera at two random people. I do like how it turned out, a little busy and hard to differentiate between all the different layers.
The sun went down and the lights came on. I have not had much experience in astrological photography but I did my best.
The forecast said it was going to be cloudy pretty much our entire trip but they cleared out just enough for us to see them on day two.
We walked north to the harbor because we thought we would not have too many lights in our view. As you can see we did have some but the lights were still visible.
