Took a weekend trip up to New York and actually brought my camera tried to get some good shots. I have seen a lot of Street Photography that I like, and plenty I don't. I don't think i have made much of that genre that I like. I don't think where I live is as conducive to the street photography genre as a big city. It isn't impossible to do it in a more burb type area but I don't have the skills or nerve to do it.

I don't think it is easier to shoot this genre in New York because their is more to see and for me it is a different place. So it isn't the scenery I see everyday and makes it more exciting for me.
I have seen photographers that are great at making great photos of "boring places". I believe those photos require immense skill at getting a great exposure or looking at the subject in such a different way that it makes it interesting.
These photos from inside the Statue of Liberty remind me of old documentary style photographs and I really like them. It was also cool to see her face from the inside.
One thing we did while in New York was see Hamilton on Broadway, which brought us to trinity Church in Wall street.
Alexander Hamilton, Angelica Schuyler Church, Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton, and Hercules Mulligan are all burried here.
Opun visiting this church you are required to go into the church before walking around the church cenitary. I had to wondr if this was a do to the popularity of the play.
We visited China Town before heading over to the river to an October Fest event on Watermark on the New York Pier 15. Sadly this event was more about making money for tickets to get in than anything else.
We did have fun in Chinatown and enjoy our trip to New York.
When I climbed the Statue of Liberty, I was surprised how small it was inside. I wish they still allowed visitors to go up her arm to the torch balcony. Good photos!
